Marcus
Okay great. We’re here with Doug, and Doug, tell us your name, your company and your role in your company.
Doug
My name is Doug Parmentier, I’m with AudioAir from Durango, Colorado and I work in Special Projects.
Marcus
So what is AudioAir?
Doug
AudioAir allows a Smart Phone user to listen to a muted television through Wi-Fi. What we do is we take the analog audio from a television feed, we digitize it through our Patent pending equipment, and then we send it via Wi-Fi to the end users Smart Phone or tablet.
Marcus
How long has the company been around?
Doug
Two years last week.
Marcus
How long have you been with the company?
Doug
Since last August.
Marcus
Okay. All right. And can you give us some examples of how it’s used or the environments this is used for?
Doug
This could be used anywhere there’s a muted television or muted display. Currently we’re installed in about 53 pilot sites in different areas of the country, mostly sports bar, because that’s kind of a low hanging fruit situation and everybody wants to hear the big plays in a sports game.
Marcus
Sure.
Doug
We’re also in a large casino, we’re in a Holiday Inn chain and eventually our vertical markets are going to include hospital waiting rooms, things like airports and anywhere there’s a muted television.
Marcus
So what are your goals being here at Launch Conference this week?
Doug
Well, we’re actually here, our attorneys are Wilson Sonsini [Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Palo Alto] and they’re sponsoring this conference, so we came out from our town in Durango, Colorado to present here. We’ve done a couple of tech crunches so far and we thought it would be worthwhile to check out the Launch Conference. We’ve closed out our seed right now and we’re moving toward our A Round, so we wanted to come out here and connect with our advisors in the Silicone Valley and also get some exposure and get our name out there.
Marcus
Excellent. If this product were a Super Hero, what would its super power be?
Doug
To allow everybody to listen to muted televisions.
Marcus
All right, I think that’s great. Any last things that our viewers ought to know? How could they get in touch with you if they want this for their establishments and things like that?
Doug
We’re going to start a big roll out this summer. Right now we’ve got about 53 venues and we’re going to be moving towards about a thousand venues. We’ve got a big distributor on the East Coast that’s going to be pushing us up from Florida to D.C. and we’re also going to be making a big move into the I-35 corridor between Austin and Dallas, Texas. So we’re really ready to push this out there so people will have access to our product. Everywhere we’ve installed it people love it, because they want to hear the big play. The other thing that we do is we have a nice social engagement piece built right into our App where you can have a chat function that goes between venues. So, if you’re in one of our venues in Florida and he’s in one of our venues in Dallas, you can chat back and forth about, “Can you believe that fumble”? We also have an advertising piece that goes right to the Smart Phone. So, we know you’re in a certain venue and we can send you a targeted ad, right to your mobile device which is also displayed on a digital display that we put in our venues also, to engage the customer.
Marcus
What platforms—what mobile device are you currently on?
Doug
We’re on Android and Apple right now.
Marcus
Great. Well, thank you very much.
Doug
All right. Thank you.
